The theme of ComplexCon 2017 was collaboration, and that came through in every facet of the two-day event, including our ComplexCon(versations) series.
Over the course of 14 panels, we paired up notable figures like Virgil Abloh and Takashi Murakami, Lena Waithe and Chelsea Handler, and André 3000 and Jeff Staple, who discussed and shared ideas on the topics we and our audience care deeply about.
From hip-hop to fashion to Hollywood to weed, and everything in between, attendees got to enjoy that experience first-hand. If you didn't get to attend, or weren't able to catch all the panels going down while at ComplexCon—including the Sneaker of the Year debate—fear not; starting this week we'll be releasing video from each.
But before we formally roll out each panel, we're sharing a taste of what's to come with a collection of notable moments, like LaVar Ball explaining why Michael Jordan won't be as rich as him, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler praising Issa Rae's Insecure and Donald Glover's Atlanta, and Cam'ron sharing jewels for the younger generation of rap stars.
Watch the full video above for more from the likes of Nipsey Hussle, Don C, and Dascha Polanco at ComplexCon. Our ComplexCon(versations) series will run through March featuring My Beautiful Dark Twisted Panel with Rick Ross and Mike Dean, The Disruptors with LaVar Ball, and The Rap Generation Gap Debate featuring Cam'ron, ASAP Ferg, and more.
