The Founder of Megaupload., Recently Arrested, Was Also The #1 Global "Modern Warfare 3" Player

GamesBeat has pointed out an interesting fold in the Megaupload saga, which began last week with the site's shuttering and the arrest of its founder, Kim Dotcom, amongst others. It turns out Dotcom himself isn't just some incredibly wealthy nerd who created a legally ambiguous website—he's also the number one Modern Warfare 3 player in the world, according to the game's global leaderboards.

The video above, posted on New Year's Eve, shows Dotcom—code name MEGARACER—taking the number one spot in a flurry of confetti and cake. Given his recent arrest, though, his position on the leaderboards has probably already been usurped. Maybe they'll give him conjugal visits with his 360?

Seriously, though, his situation sucks right now. What's your take on the Megaupload ordeal? Are the Feds correct, or are they using the site as a scapegoat to make an example of? Let us know what you think in the comments or on Twitter.
