Australian street artist Reka has been busy over the last year. He was selected to contributed to POW!WOW! Hawaii 2014 Arts Festival, opened a show in London accompanied by an outdoor mural, had solo shows in Denmark and Melbourne, and now he has been tapped to create for Art Whino Gallery's "Mural Project." The Berlin-based artist is known for his blend of figuration and abstraction, his clean-cut geometric aesthetic, and his bold use of color. His art draws inspiration from pop art and traditional graffiti, blending the two through design and line.

For his newest project, Reka created murals around Berlin and also collaborated with Polish artist Nawer. Reka's solo mural demonstrates his mastery of color and line. The stunning work features two abstracted female figures rendered in Reka's geometric style. The vibrant energy of the swooping curves and the dynamic color blocking of sienna tones in the work create a sense of vitality and life often found in Reka's work.

No stranger to collaboration, Reka and Nawer created a triptych mural showcasing their distinct styles. The work features three insects, two painted by Reka and Nawer individually and one blending their two styles. Nawer's solo mural uses color and line to create a realistic silhouette of an insect. Reka then paints the same subject in his style. The third insect maintains both of the artists' distinct styles. Nawer's use of angular thin lines and stripes contrasts with Reka's curvaceous shapes, allowing for a sense of harmony between the two artists.
