One week before the 2014 FIFA World Cup began, Beats by Dre released an epic five-minute commercial, showcasing how some of the competing players prepare for the big tournament (while listening to their music on Beats headphones). The ad, titled "The Game Before the Game," featured appearances from players like Neymar Jr., Bacary Sagna, Jozy Altidore and cameos from Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Lebron James.

Although the commercial is creative and probably one of the best centered around the World Cup, Beats by Dre headphones are actually banned from the tournament. FIFA's licensing agreement with rival brand Sony says all players are not allowed to wear Beats by Dre headphones inside the stadiums or to media events. The problem is, players have been seen wearing them almost everywhere else.

Sony Corp. even sent each player participating in the World Cup a free set of headphones. To be honest though, most of them are probably still sitting in their packaging. If FIFA had its way, all the players would be copping from the dopest World Cup capsule collections in lieu of wearing Beats.
