Membership to the Council of Fashion Designers of America is by invite only. And once you’re in, you’re probably going to get asked to put in some work when your name is called. This year Details magazine and the CFDA have teamed up once again and picked 20 menswear designers for another custom program. The last partnership involved designing pocket squares, but on this round the group gets to remix a rugged duffel bag.
Included in this prestigious group of 20 are some of the most notable menswear designers today. You have Mark McNairy, Duckie Brown, Unis, Billy Reid, and Michael Bastain just to name a few. There’s also a custom bag from Public School, who recently took home the 2013 Swarovski Menswear Designer of the Year. Everyone put their own spin, and it’s hard to pick which of these are the best. If you have your eye on any particular bag, they will all be up for auction on eBay starting June 10.
