Which ones are worth it? We took a look at the discount policies of several retailers with stores all over the country. These are the ones where the trouble of working on the weekend is worth it. Here are 15 Clothing Stores With Awesome Employee Discounts.
Discount: 50% off five full-price items each month to wear to work. 30% off full price merchandise. 50% off sale merchandise. 60% off selected, slow-selling items.
The popular menswear outpost certainly doesn't skimp when it comes to employee discounts. If you're looking for a gig here, you'll certainly be able to stock up on in-house goods. The downside? Most third-party brands like Alden, Norse Projects, and Nike don't get discounted. But hey, when you're copping Ludlow suits and 484 jeans at half-off, you can afford to save up for a pair of Cordovan brogues.
Urban Outfitters
Discount: 40% on apparel, 25% on houseware, no discount on sale items. Applies to Anthropologie and Free People. During employee appreciation, friends and family get 40% off everything, including sale.
What's cool about Urban Outfitters' discount program is you get a "significant other" card you can give your girl, your homie, or your third cousin. Your family gets a discount too. It's normally 25% off, but on employee appreciation days, which occur once a season, it rises up to 40% off everything, including sale items and housewares.
Discount: 33.3-40% at regular stores. 25% off at outlets.
On the hunt for a pair of Bean Boots or just a huge fan of the L.L. Bean Signature collection? You get up to 40% off when you work there. During the holidays, many of their stores remain oopen 24/7, so you might be able to pick up a graveyard shift and earn even more dough-that you'll probably spend on a tote, backpack, or kayak anyway.
Discount: 30% off regular price and sale merchandise.
Live the How To Make It In America dream by working the Barneys sales floor. The 30% discount is pretty good, but when you consider a lot of designer gear costs thousands of dollars, you may not be able to cop a lot still. Thankfully, you get a discount on sale items, which makes that Thom Browne varsity all the more affordable.

Discount: 30% off all stores and websites, including Dockers.

Most people don't know Club Monaco is owned by Ralph Lauren, so the plus here is that your discount applies to all Ralph Lauren stores. Suddenly, Purple Label and RRL became that much more affordable. But judging from Club Monaco's recent offerings, you'll want to use that discount there too. Even better, employees can use their discount on third-party items from brands like Rancourt, Barbour, and Mark McNairy.
Discount: 30% off except for monthly Friends & Family weekends, where you get 50% off. Coupons can stack on employee discounts.
The referee-inspired uniform doesn't sound so bad if it means being able to stack up on kicks for much less. What's especially awesome is if you have a coupon, you can stack that discount on top of the one you already get. Cha-ching.

Now that Nick Wooster's overseeing the menswear, you might find yourself searching for a gig at JC Penney. The employee discount is decent at 25% off, but "All-Star Performers" who bring in big sales numbers earn 30% off.

If you need to stack up on Uniqlo goods, you'll have to shop at the store you clock in at in order to take advantage of your discount. As if Uniqlo's prices weren't already affordable, they're practically free at 30% off.
Discount: 15% after a month of work
You'll have to put in work for a month, but then you get 15% off Zara's near-designer duds.
Macy's and Bloomingdale's
Discount: 20% off at both stores. On bonus days, an additional 20% off your discount.
Whether you're looking to stock up on Denim & Supply, Ralph Lauren's Macy's-exclusive brand, or other designer gear, you can get up to 40% off when you take advantage of "bonus days" that occur.
Discount: 50% off regular priced merchandise and 10% off sale items at Gap and Banana Republic. 25% off regular priced merchandise and 10% off sale items at Old Navy.
Rack up on 1969 Denim or suit up at Banana Republic with a generous half-off discount. It'll come in handy if you need to get gifts too. Since Old Navy's prices are already pretty cheap, the extra 25% off is a nice padding.
Discount: 25% off from any store.
25% off might not seem like a lot, but when you take into account how low the prices at H&M already are, then it's awesome. We're not 100% sure if that discount applies to guest designers like the Margiela collection, but if it does, that makes it even better.
Discount: 50% off. $200 clothing allowance.
You get free clothes when you first start, which is good because you're required to be all American Apparel-everything when you're on the clock. At half-off everything, the employee discount is pretty good.
