Summer is officially over, which means it's time to round up the best dressed celebrities of the past few months. We know it's easy to stop caring once the temperature rises, so we salute these guys who managed to beat said heat and put together great looks. From Olympians who always look golden, actors who are fashion forward, to rappers dressed in luxury collections, here are The 10 Most Stylish Celebrities Of The Summer. Go ahead, clap for 'em.
10. Cullen Jones
If you watched the 2012 London Olympic Games then you should be familar with Cullen Jones. The U.S. swimmer earned two silver medals and one gold, and proved he's a force to be reckoned with. While we doubt Jones' swimming career is near its end, the Charlotte native has talked about his plans of one day working in fashion — he says he'd like to start his own line. This is no surprise, though, as the young swimmer's got a clear handle on his own style. He keeps it fairly simple while knowing what works for him. And the best part? He's pretty subtle about it all... unlike other Olympic swimmers.
9. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
It was announced this weekend that the summer blockbuster, The Dark Knight Rises, became the 13th movie of all time to reach $1 billion in box office. And by the way he's been dressing, looks like Joseph Gordon-Levitt is ready for the success and that A-list status. Just take a look at the flicks above. He looks sharp in a suit. All. The. Time. And his casual style? Effortlessly cool.
8. David Beckham
Beckham's style only improves with time. Remember when he had his white-boy-with-cornrows phase? Well, now he rocks tailored suits and looks put-together even in just a shirt and dark jeans. We saw it during the 2012 London Olympic Games, both when he drove a speedboat to the Olympic Stadium with the all-important flame and when he sat in the bleachers with his sons. Guess it's true when they say, "with age comes wisdom" — at least in Beckham's case.
7. Tyson Chandler
Tyson Chandler is one of the resident risk takers on this list, and should be applauded for that. The New York Knicks player and Olympic gold medalist is always willing to explore different trends. Sometimes they're trends that other 7'1" 240 lb. guys wouldn't even think of trying. So even if you're not feeling his gothic look or his capes, you've got to give him props.
6. 2 Chainz
It's been a busy past few months for 2 Chainz. He dropped some of the hottest tracks and guest verses of the summer and, more recently, released his much-anticipated album Based on a T.R.U. Story. And he's done it all in style. Even if you don't agree, he doesn't give a fuck. He's the kind of guy who wears what he wants; however he wants to. Who else would rock a silk scarf on his head? Plus, he's got a mean collection of vintage jewelry we wouldn't mind having. TRUUU!
5. LeBron James
Bron Bron knows all about winning. In addition to his NBA Championship and MVP Award, he (along with the rest of the U.S. men's basketball team) earned a gold medal at the 2012 London Olympic Games. What's more, he has proved he is one of the best dressed in the league. He cleans up well when he needs to and is always on-trend. He still wears T-Shirts with his face on it but it's cool though. You get a hall pass when you're winning that much.
4. Andrew Garfield
The British actor caught our attention during the press tour for The Amazing Spider-Man. He killed it on the red carpet, rocking colored and printed suits. Soon, we noticed that his casual gear was just as great. He makes up one half of one of the most stylish celebrity couples right now but it's easy to see he holds his own. For all that, Garfield lands the #4 spot on this list.
3. Theophilus London
This Brooklyn rapper has one of the best personal styles, period. He doesn't bow down to rules and has the ability to mix different styles. Catch him in velvet slippers one day and Jordans the next. While he's known for his vintage finds, he also rocks Givenchy tees and velvet Balmain pants. Even brands and designer take notice of his unique look and are eager to work with him. In fact, he's collaborated with Cole Haan and Del Toro, and more recently, Stussy.
2. A$AP Rocky
Pretty Flacko performed at some of the biggest and best music festivals this summer, all while being the most stylish New Yorker right now. While you were most likely rapping along, we know some of you were also keeping an eye out for what the Harlem native was wearing onstage. We don't blame you though. His kit usually includes Givenchy, $9,000 jeans, or some next level shit from Paris.
Sometimes, improvement is what helps a celebrity land a spot on this list. Other times, it's just continuing what you already do well. It's the latter when it comes to A$AP.
1. Kanye West
Yeezy's been projecting his swag—like a missile—all summer long. Whether it was at the BET Awards, out in NYC with Kim Kardashian, or in music videos, West continued his stride as one of the most stylish celebrities. He still wears designer brands from head-to-toe, literally, and has mastered the art of knowing what works—apparently, what works now are minimalistic, monochromatic looks. Not to mention, he designed one of the most anticipated sneakers of the year. It's been a cruel summer, indeed.
