Custom snapbacks can look wack, especially when they cost $400 and are all made out of snakeskin. Me & some friends started making custom snapbacks in LA through a connection with a high quality leather shop about a year ago. Our hats range from ~$80-150 and come in snakeskin, stingray, ostrich, alligator, etc. They have been going extremely fast, happens without a $200+ markup, new stock coming the beginning of January.
