You know the old adage for people who need consolation for coming up just short of a tournament victory: "There's nothing wrong with being second place." China's Olympic diver He Zi won a silver medal for the women's 3-meter springboard on Sunday, but she was declared to be No. 1 in her boyfriend and fellow Chinese diver Qin Kai's life after she was awarded the medal.

This is certainly one of the biggest highlights of the Rio Olympics so far, and it wasn't just some athlete beating a contender for the gold. Qin Kai got down on one knee to pop The Question, and made the greatest day of her life in sports doubled down by the greatest day in her life overall. (So far, anyway.)

They were at the poolside representing their country with China's red and gold colors, He Zi was standing on the pedestal blinging with some silver around her neck, and she had a diamond shining of her hand to match. And she emotionally said yes tearing up with millions around the world watching the grandeur of the moment.

Now unless he does something absolutely stupid to mess up this engagement or marriage, can this man weasel his way out of any argument for the rest of their lives together just from this scenario alone? And for how he pulled this off? Really. Even Don Juan DeMarco and Dr. Phil would have to agree that a marriage proposal for a professional athlete can't get any more romantic than this. For the rest of Zi's life, every kiss begins with Kai.
