Ben Simmons hasn't even played a single minute in an NBA game, but he's already receiving some hate from former players like Tracy McGrady. On Friday, McGrady appeared on ESPN's The Jump with Karl-Anthony Towns and applauded how this year's unanimous Rookie of the Year conducted himself while watching Game 6 of the 2016 NBA Finals in a suite filled with past and present NBA greats, such as Vince Carter, and Bill Russell. "I appreciate this guy, he's a stand-up dude," T-Mac said of Towns. "We're all in the suite last night and he introduced himself to everybody and spoke."

Then, McGrady quickly switched gears and appeared to take a swipe at Simmons, saying, "And there was one guy that just walked in there and acted like he didn't know nobody." After The Jump host Rachel Nichols asked him to reveal who he was talking about, T-Mac said, "They say he might be the No. 1 pick."

Maybe Simmons should get the benefit of the doubt here. It's possible he did know everyone in the room, but was so overwhelmed and nervous being in that type of environment that he was too shy to approach anyone. But, according to the guy who "might be the No. 1 pick," he did meet with Russell at one point in the night. Here's what he had to say:

First impressions are the most lasting, Simmons. Sometimes we learn that the hard way.
