It’s been quite some time since Lamar Odom has made a public appearance. He has, of course, been recovering from the near-death experience that he went through late last year. But it sounds like he’s going to show up at the premiere of Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo album at Madison Square Garden today, according to numerous reports.
TMZ Sportshas been tracking Odom for the last 18 hours or so, ever since he was spotted catching a red eye flight with Khloe Kardashian late yesterday. It was unclear where the two were headed, but they touched down in New York City early this morning, and Entertainment Tonight is reporting that they are in town to check out Kanye’s album premiere and Yeezy Season 3 fashion show that are taking place this afternoon. Additionally, TMZ Sports is reporting that Odom insisted on attending the premiere/fashion show because he credits Kanye’s music with helping him recover over the last few months. Kanye reportedly played songs from the album, then known as Swish, for Odom in his hospital room in Los Angeles on several occasions.
Odom obviously won’t be the only celebrity in the house when Kanye takes center stage, but he will likely command a lot of attention. Think he swings by to say hi to Phil Jackson while he’s in the Big Apple? Stay tuned.
