Yesterday Michigan had a win over Michigan State all locked up, until their punter dropped the ball (and then panicked) leading to an ending you'll likely see until the day you croak. Like pretty much everybody pre-play, Grand Rapids local reporter (and MSU alum) Jamal Spencer believed the Wolverines simply hiked the ball and booted it away for the win. He reported as much outside the Big House as the final seconds ticked away.
Obviously it didn't go down like that.
Afterward Spencer apologized for having the audacity to think that the No. 12 team in the country could execute a punt:
Never make assumptions, we guess.
