Ronda Rousey's next fight will be against Holly Holm on Jan. 2 2016, and based on what happened the last time Rousey entered the octagon, people are already wondering just how long that bout will last.
Holm is undefeated, but has only nine MMA fights under her belt. Rousey, of course, is the most dominant force in the sport, and knocked out her last opponent in just 34 seconds.
Opponents can't afford to be intimidated by Rousey's past before they even step in the ring, however, and Holm's agent is doing his part in making sure his client has all the confidence in the world before taking Rousey on.
"We don't PLAN on taking Ronda's belt, we ARE taking her belt," Holly's agent Lenny Fresquez tells TMZ Sports.
This doesn't seem like the soundest of strategies. Rousey is already the best in the business by a wide margin, and any additional motivation (like the kind Correia provided before her devastating knockout) would only seem to work against Holm as the fight draws closer.
Maybe Holm will get her agent in check over the next four or five months, and these will be the last comments like these that are presented for public consumption. We kind of hope that they aren't, though, just to see the level of devastation that Rousey brings upon the latest person to challenge her abilities.
