Robert Griffin III got into it with a fan on Instagram today.

Earlier today, while he was on his way to work out, Robert Griffin III posted this video to Instagram:

And outside of the fact that he spelled "Billie Jean" incorrectly, it wasn't a post that should have gotten anybody too upset. But because RGIII is one of the most hated men in some NFL circles, one fan took a shot at him on IG after watching the video.

"This is why you will be cut after next year in Washington," Instagram user @cperezrn wrote. "You are a 'QB.' Act like one."

After one of his fellow IG users asked @cperezrn to explain why he didn't like seeing RGIII dancing to Michael Jackson, he responded.

"He cares more about his brand, social media than working in his craft," he wrote. "After the 2016 season respond back to me if I am wrong. He will be cut by the Redskins after those years. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Manning don't act this way."

And then, RGIII himself actually chimed in.

"Should I not enjoy a classic song with others who love MJ?" he asked @cperezrn. "I'm just asking for your wisdom here."

"It's about the image @rgiii," @cperezrn replied. "Whether or not you are training trying to get better it's all about how you present yourself. Your coach, owner doesn't want to see you present yourself in this matter. Think about it for a minute. You grew up in a military family. I am also a military man. Ask your father, mother it's how you present yourself."

"And I'm presenting myself in a negative way by doing…what exactly?" RGIII said in response.

"Never said you were presenting yourself in a 'negative' way," @cperezrn said. "Just seems that you care more about your social media, commercials and brand than football. That's all bud…Hope you prove your fans wrong."

That wasn't "all," though. The conversation between the two continued—you can read the whole thing here—but after @cperezrn referred to RGIII as a "DIVA" (yes, all caps!), RGIII ended the back-and-forth between the two.

"Military families have class, dignity & loyalty," he wrote. "I will maintain mine. You have not shown any of those. I will keep it that way and let you go right off my page. God bless."

All this over…an Instagram video of RGIII singing along to MJ? RGIII should have just ignored this guy and kept it moving.
