Will Ray Allen return for one more half season? Or will the 39-year-old just retire from the game of basketball? It's the burning question that the Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and a handful of other NBA teams are impatiently waiting for a response.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have heard stories suggesting that Jesus Shuttlesworth was close to signing with the Cavaliers to Clippers head coach Doc Rivers was going to try and get Allen to join Lob City to everything in-between. Now, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst, Ray may just hang up his Jordans for good.

Windhorst: "I have now heard that Ray Allen is leaning towards retiring."

Obviously, this reported mindset from Allen isn't set in stone, so there is a chance that he could change his tune as soon as next week. But, given the amount of time it has taken for Ray to make up his mind, it does suggest that his heart may not be in it anymore. Either way, Allen has already had a great NBA career. Probably even Hall of Fame worthy. We'll definitely get into that topic some time soon.
