Did Johnny Manziel really say "I would've fucking hit him" after Brian Hoyer overthrew a pass to Josh Gordon during the Browns game against the Colts on Sunday? That's the question that just about every single sports blog on the Internet—including Complex Sports—has been trying to answer for the last 48 hours. It certainly looked like Johnny Football called his teammate out when the cameras caught him saying something under his breath after the overthrow:

1.

But even after watching that Vine dozens and dozens of times, we still weren't convinced that Manziel said what people think he said. So we reached out to professional lip reader David Driscoll—the founder of Silent Eye Lip Reading Translator—to try and solve the mystery surrounding Manziel's words. And in his opinion, Manziel did get caught calling Hoyer out on Sunday.

"I have viewed the footage," Driscoll told Complex Sports in an email, "and yes, I can confirm it is my professional opinion Johnny Manziel said as quoted, 'I would have fucking hit him.'"

So there you have it. Now are you convinced that Manziel cursed after watching Hoyer's errant pass? Either way, Manziel is reportedly scheduled to make the first start of his NFL career on Sunday when the Browns take on the Bengals in Cleveland. If the Browns hope to beat their interstate rivals, Johnny Football will need to prove that he's not all talk.
