Just what LeBron James needs in Cleveland right now—more help!

King James is currently familiarizing himself with his new teammates Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love during the Cavaliers' training camp. He's also reuniting with former teammates Mike Miller and James Jones. But now it sounds like he's also going to be reintroducing himself to yet another former teammate Ray Allen in the coming days.

According to Cleveland beat writer Glenn Moore, the Cavs met with Allen earlier today and agreed to sign him to a deal:

1.

Earlier reports of Ray Allen signing with Cavaliers are true. Done deal. #NBA

It's worth noting that the Cavaliers haven't made anything official just yet. And ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that it's not a "done deal" just yet:

2.

Think a lot of us expect Ray Allen to wind up in Cleveland but early word this AM is that talk of a commitment or signing TODAY is premature

But the "Ray Allen to the Cavs" rumors have been swirling around for a few months now. So we wouldn't be shocked at all if he did end up signing with them today or tomorrow. Stay tuned for more details about this reported deal.

UPDATE:

According to Basketball Insiders reporter Alex Kennedy, Allen has not decided to sign with the Cavs yet:

3.

I asked a source close to the situation if Ray Allen has decided to sign with the Cavaliers, as has been reported. Source responded: "NO."

UPDATE 2:

Allen's agent has denied the initial report about him signing with the Cavaliers:

4.

Ray Allen's agent Jim Tanner issues statement saying "Ray has not [yet] decided if he will play this season nor has he signed w/ @Cavs"
