In 2011, the New York Giants drafted cornerback Prince Amukamara from Nebraska, hoping to pair their first round pick alongside Pro Bowl cornerback Antrel Rolle in hopes of forming a shutdown secondary.

Now four seasons into his career, Amukamara is starting to live up to New York's initial expectations, tallying two interceptions on the year, as well as 25 tackles. Fans and media alike are touting the young cornerback as a breakout player for the year. Finally, Amukamara is coming into his own.

So, what's the secret to his newfound success? Well, earlier in the year, Amukamara, a devout Christian, tied the knot with a young lady by the name of Pilar Davis. And, according to Rolle, life as a newlywed has had an unexpected effect on Amukamara's personality and athletic ability.

"There are a lot of things different about Prince," said Rolle while speaking with NJ.com. "For one, he's married, so he's (enjoying some things that he wasn't experiencing before he's married). For a man, that could definitely help him out. For a man ... I'm just being honest ... it's helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love."

Deadspin reached out to NJ.com to confirm exactly what Rolle meant by "enjoying some things that he wasn't experiencing before he's married", and NJ.com confirmed the original quote was, "getting some cutty."

*Goes on Urban Dictionary to look up "cutty"* Okay, gotcha. So, yeah, basically, Amukamara is getting some, and things have never been better for him.

Congratulations all around for the budding young star. Let the good times keep rolling both on-the-field and off.

UPDATE:

Amukamara confirmed his sex-having to the media today. What a hero.
