By now, it shouldn't surprise us that LeBron James is worth millions of dollars. However, to make the denomination official, Forbes recently listed their most valuable athlete brands, placing King James at no. 1, the new leader over the now-dethroned Tiger Woods.

The margin between Woods and James was slim, as just $1M separated the two, and it's especially surprising given the reported value of James' brand last year. In 2013, Forbes listed LBJ's brand at just $27M. Conversely, the worth of Woods' brand was reported at $46M. However, after EA Sports annulled their video game partnership with Woods earlier in the year, his value took a considerable hit. Forbes cited James' sponsorships with McDonalds, Nike, Coca-Cola, and Upper Deck as reasons for his increasing worth.

Take a look at the entire top 10 from the list below. You're sure to recognize more than a few names:

1. LeBron James ($37 million)

2. Tiger Woods ($36 million)

3. Roger Federer ($32 million)

4. Phil Mickelson ($29 million)

5. Mahendra Singh Dhoni ($20 million)

6. Usain Bolt ($19 million)

7. Cristiano Ronaldo ($17 million)

8. Kobe Bryant ($15 million)

9. Lionel Messi ($12 million)

10. Rafael Nadal ($10 million)
