Which Knicks player was Notorious B.I.G. talking about on his classic storytelling song, "I Got a Story to Tell"? For years now, the rumor has been that the song was written by Biggie with guard John Starks in mind and that it was based on a real-life event that took place. But earlier today, Starks appeared on ESPN's Highly Questionable and told Dan LeBatard and Bomani Jones that the song was not written about him.
"First and foremost, I'm not even 6'5", I'm 6'2" actually," Starks said, referencing the fact that Biggie called the Knicks player "one of them 6'5" niggas, I don't know" on the song.
Starks then went on to confirm that the song was about one of his Knicks teammates. But unfortunately for us, he refused to name which Knicks player the song was about—and wouldn't elaborate on the story at all.
"I know who it was about," he said, "but I'm not gonna say."
So we're still all left to speculate. But now that Starks is seemingly out of the mix, who do you think B.I.G. was talking about?
