French designer Jean-Marie Massaud has prepared a new city vehicle for Toyota, the ME.WE concept, aimed at reducing excess.

The small four-door is built of fully recyclable body parts that allow for quick customization. Need a pickup? Simply remove the rear portion of the car. The ME.WE's simplicity extends to the interior which features a bamboo dashboard and minimal instrument panel. Propelled by four in-wheel electric motors, it won't win drag races but might win some hearts.

Mini cars are on the rise (this one is only a touch larger than the Scion iQ), and why this one is set just as a Toyota showpiece it may provide a look at the future of city transport.
