Considering how many cars are in nearly every rap video these days, it's almost as if we need the rappers and the cars to have a special episode on Maury just to see if they are indeed the owner. Photo shoots, album covers, and extremely short low-priced leases add to the mess of determining if that dude in the candy Drophead Rolls is actually rolling clean or if he's just a pretender. Flustered by the phoniness, we decided to do some digging to find out who has actually owned their cars. Some are a bit more dated, while others are on the rise in their collecting stages. We listed at least a few of the rides, some more than others, that each rapper has owned at one point or another. Check out T.I., Lil Wayne, Akon, and Wyclef in The 25 Biggest Car Collectors in Hip-Hop.

25. Fabolous

Cars: Aston Martin Rapid, Jeep Wrangler, Bentley SUV?

Fabolous might end up being the first rapper to own that Bentley SUV. He was given a private screening when it was making its debut rounds.

24. Soulja Boy

Cars: Bentley Continental, Lamborghini Gallardo

The SODMG front man might not have a huge collection, but he keeps his Red Bentley closer than a baby keeps his left thumb. And when that was in an accident, he didn't hesitate to pick up an Audi R8 while he waited for his baby to return.

23. Bow Wow

Cars: Hummer H2, Mercedes-Benz SL, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 360 Modena, BMW 645i

Look, we didn't say it had to be 100 percent current. Last time we heard, he actually got sued for owing money on his F430 lease.

22. Nelly

Cars: Ford Flex, Ford Mustang

Once upon a time, Nelly was actually relevant, and when that was the case, he had cars left and right. His boy Funkmaster Flex hooked him up with Ford to get a custom Flex when they were first hitting the market.

21. Wiz Khalifa

Cars: Pontiac Bonneville, Dodge Challenger, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS

You can thank two main factors that have contributed largely to people's perception that Wiz is a much bigger car collector than he really is: Hanging out with Curren$y all the time and his song "Black and Yellow."

20. Jadakiss

Cars: Volkswagen Corrado, Acura Integra, Mercedes-Benz CLK430, Range Rover, BMW M6, Porsche Panamera

Out of all the homies on the list, Jadakiss' distinct style and taste in autos might be our favorite. That might be because we have a softness for Integras after owning a couple.

19. The Game

Cars: Porsche Panamera, Ferrari F430, Chevrolet Camaro, Rolls-Royce Ghost

This man cannot pick a damn color for his Porsche. First it was white, then gold, now it's red. And don't get us started on wrapping a Ferrari in leather.

18. T.I.

Cars: Dodge Challenger, Mercedes-Benz SLR, Bentley Mulsanne, Ferrari 599 GTB

T.I. might have made the Donk anthem back in the day that landed on one of the Need for Speed soundtracks, but he's upgraded since then. We've heard him rappin' about those Bentley Mulannes a few times in the past couple years.

17. Will.i.am

Cars: McLaren MP4-12C, Custom IAMAUTO Delorean Knock-off

Yo, it's a Delorean. Stop calling it your own car brand.

16. Diddy

Cars: Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, 1959 Chevrolet Corvette, Lamborghini Gallardo

This man gave his son a Maybach, so you can see that his rides are important to him.

15. 50 Cent

Cars: Rolls-Royce Ghost, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lamborghini Murcielago, Ferrari F430, Pontiac G8

See what happens when you make solid investments, kids? If you ever get famous, use your status to sign endorsements, drop out at the correct times, make a ton of money, and then go and buy a bevy of sick supercars. He even had a special edition Pontiac G8 made for him at SEMA one year.

14. Snoop Dogg

Cars: Dodge Challenger, 1967 Cadillac Deville, 1967 Pontiac Parisienne Convertible

We had to pay respect to one of the O.G. car leaders in the game. Following suit with his style, Snoop is all about the classics, pulling hard from the golden ages of the '60s and '70s.

13. Kanye West

Cars: Lamborghini Aventador, Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR, Aston Martin DB9

Mr. West was rollin' in sick wheels way before Kim ever gave him the blacked-out Aventador. The McLaren SLR is still probably his best car to date.

12. Jay-Z

Cars: Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, Ferrari F430 Spider, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Maybach Exelero, Bugatti Veyron, Maybach 62S, Jeep Wrangler

When he's not busy destroying ultra-luxe cars for fun with his boy 'Ye, he actually puts a few in his garage.

11. Lil Wayne

Cars: Porsche Boxster, Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Maybach 62

The total value of the cars between Weezy and Birdman is unfathomable. But, Wayne isn't tryin' to stunt on anybody, nah. Not at all.

10. Rick Ross

Cars: 1973 Chevrolet Impala, Maybach Coupe, Bentley Continental Supersports, Rolls-Royce Ghost

Mr. Maybach doesn't strictly stick to the double-M. Although, he is one of two people in the world with a Maybach Coupe.

9. Akon

Cars: Porsche Panamera, Spyker C8 Spyder SWB

Akon is all about the whiteout. Anything he buys, he puts white rims and gives it a white paint job. That includes that awesome Spyker (one of our favorite cars owned on this list) that he recently declared his favorite.

8. Wyclef Jean

Cars: McLaren F1, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Bentley Arnage, Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, Pagani Zonda, Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Wyclef is a dude that's been gettin' his wheels straight since we were rolling around the local bike paths on our badass Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle big wheels (yeah, the wheel was a pizza). In addition to his huge collection of custom cars, Wyclef also had a few choppers straight from the guys at OCC.

7. Flo Rida

Cars: Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes-Benz CL, Ferrari California

Flo Rida's car passion cover was blown when he started rolling around in a Bugatti. Looks like all thos No. 1 iTunes singles are paying quite well.

6. Pharrell

Cars: Ferrari Enzo, Rolls-Royce Phantom, Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR, Hybrid GMC Yukon

"The Phantom, exterior like fish eggs, the interior like suicide wrist red." The "Drop it Like it's Hot" video with Snoop was an eye-opener to many, showing the level of Pharrell's car game. It's hard to beat somebody with both a Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR AND a Ferrari Enzo.

5. Lupe Fiasco

Cars: Chevrolet Camaro SS, 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK replica, Ferrari 575M, Mercedes-Benz SL500, Ferrari 465 GTA, Ferrari 400i, 1986 Ferrari 412, Jeep Wrangler, Shelby Daytona Coupe, 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne CT pickup

If you weren't aware of Lupe's infatuation with cars before this year, a tweet of his Daytona when Carroll Shelby passed away was a huge clue, and his cover story in the latest "Rides" magazine proved he's a gearhead.

4. T-Pain

Cars: Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, 1969 Impala, Scion xB, Mini Cooper, Ferrari F430, Bugatti Veyron, Cadillac Hearse, 1972 Chevrolet Impala, Oldsmobile 442, 1991 Chevrolet Caprice Classic, 1963 drop-top Chevrolet Impala, 1963 hard-top Chevrolet Impala, Ford F650, Buick Lacerne, 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle

You know how you can tell a pure-bred automotive enthusiast? When they own various years of the same car and explain to you how not just the aesthetics are different, but how the engine is different. Forbes wrote an article about T-Pain back in 2009 and he had 32 cars in his possession at that point. We're not sure if he's sold any since then, but we know for sure that he's made some more purchases.

3. Funkmaster Flex

Cars: 1969 Chevrolet Nova, 1971 Ford Torino GT, 1976 Ford Torino, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, 1969 Pontiac GTO Convertible, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, 1967 Ford Galaxie, 2005 Ford Expedition, 2006 Ford Mustang, 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass, 1969 Charger, R/T, 1965 Chevrolet Impala SS 396

Mr. Aston Taylor's car infatuation started from his father and has since grown into a life-long hobby, a business, and a brand. His auto presence has gotten so big that he's got his own shows and has a section on his website specially designated for everything cars. Looking at that laundry list

2. Curren$y

Cars: Chevrolet Corvette, Chevrolet Impala SS, Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS, Chevrolet El Camino SS

Spitta doesn't have nearly the volume of automobiles that Flex or T-Pain do, nor does he have the mass expenses that Birdman spends on his cars, but the New Orleans homie is truly obsessed with rides on four wheels, particularly if they have that vintage Chevy badge up front. He names projects after cars. His project covers have cars on them. He tweets nothing but weed and cars, and in his videos, cars are almost guaranteed to be involved in some manner. He's also the only other guy on this list besides Flex that practically lives in a customs shop. Chevy should just give him an endorsement deal for all the advertising he does for them.

1. Birdman

Cars: Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Maybach 62S Landaulet, attempted Maybach Exelero

There is nobody better on this list at spending exorbitant amounts of cash on the newest, fastest, and most expensive rides on the planet. He claimed at one point to have 50 whips, and that was when Lil Wayne was 16 years old. Take that thought, consider how much more money he's made off Young Money since then, and you get a dude that's rubbing his hands looking at new candy apple red rides more often than you hail a taxi.
