Sounds like Dwight Howard won't be leaving O-Town anytime soon—much to the chagrin of the Knicks, Lakers, Bulls, and any other team hoping to trade for Howard, who is about to enter the final year of his contract with the Magic. And, in the process of telling the Orlando Sentinel that he doesn't want to go anywhere after next season, he also took a few shots at Orlando's biggest attraction in the pre-Dwight Howard days: Shaquille O'Neal.

"I'm not trying to run behind nobody like Shaq or be behind somebody else," said Howard, referencing Shaq's departure for the Lakers back in 1996. "I want to start my own path and I want people to follow my path, and I want to start that here in Orlando."

Now, let's see if he actually sticks to that. [via SB Nation]
