Not even 24 hours removed from the release of Pusha T's Daytona, Drake has fired back with some not-so-subtle jabs in response to the album's closing track, "Infrared."

In "Duppy Freestyle"—which can be streamed below—Drake addresses Pusha and takes the opportunity to throw some shade at Kanye West, too.

Specifically, the former Jordan Brand collaborator takes a shot at West's perceived manipulation of Virgil Abloh's career.

"I could never have a Virgil in my circle and hold him back 'cause he makes me nervous/I wanna see my brothers flourish to their higher purpose," Drake raps.

During his two-hour sit down with Charlamagne tha God earlier this month, Kanye insisted there were no hard feelings over Virgil's meteoric rise and recent appointment as Louis Vuitton's menwear director. However, he didn't trivialize the role he played: "The breakthrough with Virgil is now we have someone who's come from DONDA, who's come from the school of Kanye West... It didn't matter the amount of money or ownership; the world needed to see that this is a possibility. For Virgil, it's like, the world just needs to see things."

It'll be interesting to see how things progress from here. Just last month, Drake was spotted wearing West's Yeezy 500 sneakers, and he's expected to announce an Adidas deal soon.
