In celebration of the first day of Spring, high-end retailer Barneys has delivered more pairs from its 2018 BNY Sole Series with premium takes on two classic models from the Adidas archive: the Stan Smith and Rod Laver.
Both of the classic tennis silhouettes are covered in monochromatic color schemes. Premium off-white suede takes care of the upper, while each pair sits on an off-white midsole as well. A single pop of color comes from the leather inner lining that utilizes colors indicative of each model's OG pairs; kelly green for the Rod Laver and navy blue for the Stan Smith. Other shared details include debossed Trefoil logos on the heel tabs and Barneys New York's logo script embossed on the tongue.
"In our previous Adidas partnerships, we’ve only designed with leather and we wanted to experiment with a white suede this time around," Chris Pepe, senior men's footwear buyer at Barneys, said of the collaboration.
Interested buyers can purchase both pairs now exclusively at barneys.com and select Barneys stores. Both the Rod Laver and Stan Smith each retail for $150.
