Facebook Built a Platform That Will Let You Buy Sneakers Through Its Messenger App

Facebook just added a feature that will let you buy sneakers from its Messenger app.

Usually bots are considered to be a bad thing in the sneaker community, but Facebook just made an update to its Messenger platform that will let you buy sneakers on it by communicating with bots built by brands. The social media giant announced this update during its F8 annual developer's conference today.

Danny Sullivan of Marking Land took to Twitter to share a photo of the feature being demonstrated on stage today. The presenter used eCommerce site Spring to demonstrate how easy it will be to purchase sneakers directly from your Facebook Messenger app. The platform will eventually be open to all Facebook businesses, so we could very well be trying to cop future releases straight from Facebook in the future.
