With some of the biggest sneaker companies close by, Portland is known as one of the sneaker capitals of the world, and now it's about to have its own sneaker-themed coffee shop. Deadstock Coffee was founded by former Nike Footwear Developer Ian Williams, with a goal of bringing the sneaker community together with coffee and sneaker art. Williams shared his plans to open the shop next week, while sitting on a panel at Portland's Startup Week, reports The Portland Business Journal.

Williams is no stranger to the sneaker community, and his knowledge goes far beyond his time as an employee for Nike. He currently lists footwear consulting as one of his practices, and is also the man behind the popular @TeamMonarch Instagram page, which celebrates Nike's unlikely top-selling sneaker. In addition to the obvious sneaker inspiration, Williams is also tapping into other parts of his life for this project. "For instance, one of his creations, coffee sweet tea, taps his Virginia roots," reports the Portland Business Journal. Deadstock Coffee originally opened doors in 2014, and now that it is re-opening, it's definitely a must-stop for sneakerheads living in or visiting Portland.
