Proud Brooklynite and award winning filmmaker Spike Lee attended NBA All-Star Saturday's events in BK wearing a little special something.

On his feet, Lee decided to wear a special pair of Air Jordan XIII Customs with "He Got Game" imagery of the movie's main characters - the father and son tandem of Jake and Jesus Shuttlesworth - painted all-around the shoe along with significant details from the movie painted on the toe area.  Another detail includes the logo of Lee's production company, 40 acres and a Mule, also painted toward the back heel. The artist behind this creation is the talented Van Monroe, a customizer we told y'all to follow here, whose previous claim to fame was the Nike Air Force 1 "Obama" customs which generated quite a bit of press back in 2008. You can see more of Monroe's work here.

For those not familiar with the film, "He Got Game" is a story about a high-school phenom out of BK's Lincoln High School by the name of Jesus Shuttlesworth, played by NBA star Ray Allen, who navigates the shady world of college recruiting while dealing with his convict father, Jake Shuttlesworth, played by Denzel Washington. Since the movie takes place in Brooklyn, images of the city are seen everywhere with Coney Island and the courts at Cabrini-Green projects amongst the featured spots.
