Tonight, Kyrie Irving officially joined a small list of Nike-endorsed athletes that have been blessed with their own signature sneaker.

At a special event in NYC, the All-Star point guard's sneaker, the Kyrie 1, was officially unveiled. With Kenny "The Jet" Smith and Nike athletes Penny Hardaway and Charles Barkley on-stage with the Cavs star, Irving revealed a red colorway of his signature sneaker, while wearing another iteration in black.

The Kyrie 1 was designed by Leo Chang, who's also responsible for Kevin Durant's signature line, and was made to maximize Irving's quickness on the court. The lightweight sneaker is equipped with a Hyperfuse upper, mesh overlays, a rubber outsole with 360-degree dynamic traction, and a Zoom unit at the forefoot for ultra responsiveness.

The sneaker also features a slew of personal elements, including a hand-written detail of Irving's #2 at the heel, "JBY" on the outsole for Irving's motto "Just Be You," and a raised pattern at the heel counter inspired by the Sydney Opera House, which serves as a nod to Irving's Australian background.

Irving will debut the sneakers on the hardwood tomorrow when the Cavs take on the Knicks.

The black colorway, nicknamed "Dream," will be the debut pair and officially releases on December 23. The all-red variation, which Irving held at today's event, will be available next year on January 10. The Kyrie 1 is already available for customization on NIKEiD for $155.
