Nike's Huarache line has always had an audience. No one likes heavy sneakers on their feet, and what the Air Huarache sacrificed in weight, it made up for in comfort and style points. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Huarache runner was first released in 1991 and has gained a mainstream following in 2014 thanks to the retros of O.G. colorways and new make-ups. In those 23 years it's also become an international phenomenon.Â
Recently in the UK, our friends over at Crepe City held an exhibition in conjunction with Clyde Vellacott that chronicled the Air Huarache from its birth in 1991 to 2012. They were kind of enough to grant us access to exclusive photos of all the sneakers at the event. So whether you have a pair of crumbling "Scream Greens" on deck or you just picked up a triple-black pair of Huaraches, find out why This Massive Collection of Nike Air Huaraches Will Blow You Away.
A huge thanks to Morgan Weekes of Crepe City. All photos were taken by Thomas Lindie and Vivian Frank.
