We’ve been reporting on the upcoming collaboration between Offspring and Saucony Originals on their Shadow 6000s, and we finally have some official images to reveal. Click through the above gallery for an exclusive look that you’ll only see here.
When looking for a muse in the creative process of designing the pack, Offspring looked directly at Saucony’s work. The pack’s name, “Running since… 96” is pulled directly from Saucony’s slogan “We Run” with 1996 being the first year that Offspring opened for business.
Inspired by the streets of London’s Covent Garden, and the Saucony archive, Offspring put together two pairs of shoes to pay homage to their first home. Both pairs are made from pigskin, one of the softest suedes available, with a neutral grey base to reflect the cobbled streets around Neal Street – the location of Offspring’s original location. Both pairs feature 3M tongues for a pop behind the laces. "OFFSPRING" is embroidered ont he heel, right above the sole, lest you forget who graced you with these pairs. Blues and pinks play off each other in both pairs, with hits of leather for textural variance. Speckled midsoles add another touch of interest.
The kicks release April 5, that’s this Saturday, starting at 10am at Offspring stores in the UK. Then on Monday April 7 they’ll hit Offspring’s webstore at 8 a.m. BST (3 a.m. EST). For the first time ever, this unisex Saucony collaboration will be available in both men’s and women’s sizes for both shoes. They’ll cost £100.
