Summer is the perfect time to break out those pairs you didn't want to risk messing up with winter weather. We reached out to sneaker bloggers, photographers, collectors and shop owners from around the world to find out what kicks people were looking forward to "UN-DSing" in the coming weeks. As you might expect, we got everything from recent releases to classics from the early '00s that still hadn't reached that magical moment of hitting the pavement. With that said, there's some great stuff in the slides that follow, and they serve as a reminder of how different the tastes of sneakerheads can be. Check out the Sneakers That Will Be Un-Deadstocked By Industry Insiders This Summer and let us know what's on your summer un-deadstock list in the comments below.

Sneaker: Timberland x Stussy Deluxe Field Boot
Year: 2012
I'm rocking boots and shorts hardbody this summer. I'm somewhat over sneakers right now. There are too many sneakerheads in the streets wearing sneakers like the effin' Presto or the RosheRun or the Meatstick3000 or whatever. The field boot is a classic Timberland silhouette which can rock all four seasons if needed but it mos def looks right with shorts.

Sneaker: ASICS GEL Kayano
Year: 2014
Retro running has always been in and other companies are preparing to make a big push by reintroducing styles from their archive. This Summer I'll be breaking out a few Spring '14 Asics models that I've been sitting on for a while. The Asics Gel Kayano Retro OG & The Asics Gel Lyte V to name a few. Wait to you see what I whip out for the Fall.

Sneaker: Nike FlyKnit Racer "MultiColor"
Year: 2013
I don't really keep anything deadstock. I get them and I wear them. The pair I can't wait to arrive is my FlyKnit Racers, the multicolored joints. They are just so fresh to me and FlyKnit is quickly becoming a summer staple as the production process was made for hot temperatures. It is light, it is breathable and it is fresh. Plus not a lot of people are rocking them in my area yet.

Sneaker: Air Jordan 11 Concord
Year: 2011
I was lucky enough to get two pair of the Concords when they released a few years ago and my first pair ended up being passed on to one of my nephews after a few weekends helping me organize my garage and studio. I plan on breaking out the second pair this summer. It is actually the only deadstock pair that I own. I take it as a point of pride that I have worn every pair of shoes in my closet.

Sneaker: St. Alfred x ASICS GEL Lyte III
Year: 2013
I don't have a lot of patience when it comes to keeping shoes on ice, so my choice of a pair to un-DS will have to be something new-ish. I think the Saint Alfred Gel Lytes are one of the best makeups of 2013 (thus far), and with the beach theme, they seem like a perfect choice.

Sneaker: Sneakersnstuff x Reebok Question "A Shoe About Nothing"
Year: 2013
I don't really keep anything deadstock, so it'll just be something recent. The Reebok Question is one of my favorite sneakers and the guys at Sneakersnstuff chose amazing materials for their recent collabs. I just got a pair of the "A Shoe About Nothing" from Peter and I'll be lacing them up ASAP.

Sneaker: LOSERS Transporter Too Easy
Year: 2013
The sneaker I look forward to undeadstocking most this Summer has to be the LOSERS Transporter Too Easy. In addition to being made of premium materials the Transporter Too Easy features a slip-on/slip-off feature on the collars medial side. The slip-on/slip-off feature allows you put on or remove the sneaker from your foot without having to retie the laces everytime you do so. That and the monochromatic upper makes this sneaker easy to put on, pair with various clothing items, and a must have for the summer.

Sneaker: Under Armour Spine Bionic "Bauhaus Blue/Pool/Metallic Silver"
Year: 2013
Really want to spend more time playing ball than I did last year, completely ran thru the last pair I had so I copped this pair since it was the same colorway from the Brandon Jennings high school tournament; was SO disappointed it didn't have the logo on the tongue like in the stock pictures but its like that sometimes. Wouldn't mind hooping in the lowtop pair either.

Sneaker: Nike Air Penny III x Sole Collector, Nike Zoom Rookie "Galaxy"
Year: 2011
Heading back to Portland for the summer, I'll definitely be taking advantage of the great weather expected over the next few months. And with the SCHQ finally coming to life, I'll be pulling out two of my favorite SC x Nike collabs in the "Galaxy" Zoom Rookie and "LV Penny Pack" Air Penny III.

Sneaker: Air Jordan XI "Concords"
Year: 2000
I'll be breaking out a pair of Air Jordan XI 2000 "Concords" very soon! When the last Concords were released they didn't feel great as I remembered the last pair I had. So with the help of Corgi I was able to grab a pair recently. The mesh is slightly yellowed but man the way these feel I'm still just as appreciative of these as the first time I had them in 96.

Sneaker: Nike Roshe Run Metric QS
Year: 2013
I'll be honest - I rarely keep anything deadstock. I've already worn my first purchase of the season - a pair of the Nike Air Trainer SC Highs in "Auburn" as I've been lusting over them for awhile. But the sneakers I'm coveting most for summer are the Nike Roshe Run Metric QS. I'm obsessed with tonal colorways and the synthetic geometric upper is reminiscent of the Bao Bao bags by Issey Miyake. The sneakers are easy to style with a variety of outfits and the EVA Roshe Run soles are like wearing a giant marshmallows. Hopefully I'll be unDSing these beautiful sneakers shortly as for they now they're just grails.

Sneaker: Air Jordan III "Cement" 2011
Year: 2011
These are my favorite pair of shoes of all time. I stocked up in 2011 and bought four new pairs in addition to the few I already had from '03. I break out a new pair every six months or so. Summer is the perfect time for a fresh pair.

Sneaker: Air Jordan XX8 "Jordan Brand Classic West"
Year: 2013
This summer I'm going un-deadstock the Jordan Brand Classics 'West' Air Jordan XX8 PE. When I initially received them I was in awe that I even had something so "rare" in my possession & I was unsure what to even do with them... so they were put on a shelf. Seeing them on that shelf every day kills me as I don't own one pair of DS shoes with the exception of those. You only live once... enjoy your life while it lasts.

Sneaker: Nike Air Trainer 1 "Python"
Year: 2003
I've made the decision to wear more of what's in my closet instead of continuously buying more shoes. For most kicks, I wear them within a day or two of copping them, but there's a handful of 10-12 pairs I've yet to get to and the Python Trainer 1s fall in that group. On hot days, we keep it simple: plain tees, whatever shorts and a tough pair of shoes. Keep it casual.

I've only been after these since the pics surfaced on Sole Collector December 2011. Visited Foot Patrol London Summer 2012, they had one pair that was a half size too big. Took over a year to get them but I got'm! These will be UNDS'd this Summer for sure.

Sneaker: Jordan CMFT 11 SC
Year: 2010
I have always looked forward to un-DSing a pair of Sole Collector collabs and of the events Sole Collector has frequented in the mid to late 2000's, the Jordan CMFT 11 was it. As a big fan of MJ growing up I always looked up to the destruction he did to his opponents and the pairs Nike/JB have put out. Despite "miniscule" quality issues over the years, I have always looked toward the athlete affiliation to the kick. To be LIKE MIKE would be an understatement but rocking his kicks would be an honor to what the man has done for this kick game.

Sneaker: Solebox Reebok ERS 2000
Year: 2009
Solebox went out on a limb with this one. Unveiled in early 2009, the collaboration introduced a crazy accent. The insoles smelled like oranges. Think, car airfreshner. When I read that my curiousity took over and I had to order a pair. Forgotten in my shoe stacks for almost 4 years, it' s time for me to finally UNDS these bad boys when summer starts on June 21. And yes, the insoles still smell like oranges 4 years later.

Sneaker: Mache Customs Nike Kobe 8 "What The Kobe"
Year: 2013
One pair I'm definitely going to be un-DSing this summer is the first shoe of many that I will be releasing with relevant customs. I was really looking to expand my brand and make a more elegant and exclusive line of customs. I teamed up with relevant customs who have been working with exotic materials for decades now and together we are making an actual "what the Kobe 8" instead of painting the prints on the uppers as is usually expected of me instead we are using the exotics and building the uppers from scratch . We are using purple python, black snake, faux cheetah, shark and stingray on them...it's going to be crazy once they're done. I'm really stoked about these.

Sneaker: Nike Trainer 1.2 x EA Sports x Tim Tebow
Year: 2010
I'll be honest — as a Broncos fan, I'm not thrilled that Tim Tebow is resuming his playing career in New England. Not that I favor him over Peyton Manning, but that throw at Mile High last January will forever be a great franchise moment. I've been sitting on these trainers for about three years now (matching 'Tebow Knows' t-shirt included) and came across them while cleaning out my closet over the weekend. No better time to lace them up than this summer, while Tim is still employed and making headlines.

Sneaker: Burn Rubber x New Balance 574 "Miggys"
Year: 2013
I've had the "Miggys" sitting on ice since their release in mid-April. Given the powerful back story and inspiration for the shoe, I wanted to wait until a game deeper in the season to break them out. I'm actually hoping to see the Tigers play this Summer, and pray that no one spills a beer on my 1 of 44s!

Sneaker: Supreme x Vans Authentic "Campbell's Soup"

Sneaker: Nike Air Force 1 "3M Snake"
Year: 2001
I hate the term un-deadstock because it seems like a gratuitous way to say "wear". But if I was going to wear something for the first time it would be the Snake 3Ms I've been hoarding for a few years. All those early 2000s AF1s look so good, but the quality varies dramatically. Once you've worn a pair, they look WORN. They'll probably go unworn for another year like a lot of the shoes I wear.

Sneaker: atmos x Nike Air Max 1 "Animal Camo"
Year: 2013
I was lucky enough to lock down a pair of the latest atmos Air Max 1s back in February and have been waiting ever since for a proper occasion to break them out. I overslept on Whacking Day and there have been few other opportunities since to maximize their potential quite as appropriately as blending into the brush while snake hunting. I usually go AM1-crazy come summertime, so there's a good chance these will be taking their maiden voyage any day now in a far less fitting scenario.

Sneaker: Size? x Nike Air Max Light - Mowabb "Urban Safari Pack"
Year: 2013
So when these were first previewed, I knew I had to get my hands on them. From the ACG Mowabb inspiration to it just being a flat-out runner, these will definitely be UNDS'd this summer. Plus,it gives me an excuse to finally pull the trigger on that John Starks Jersey that I've been eyeing for a little while now.

Sneaker: Visvim FBT Reno
Year: 2013
I already wear most of what I own, so I don't have any vintage specials on deck, but I am planning on un-DSing the pair of Visvim FBTs I picked up in Tokyo this spring. The FBT is a model that I've always considered a "classic," but never got around to acquiring. Now that I have them, I can't wait to break 'em in. Remember: socks are optional, but frowned upon.

Sneaker: Nike Roshe FB "Rosheezy"
Year: 2013
I wasn't sold on the Roshe Run craze until I got a pair of the orange leopard samples. People kept talking about how comfortable the shoe was, but wearing is believing. Ha! That said, I just got a pair of the Black/Pink Flash-Fresh Mint aka Yeezy inspired Roshe Runs. I'm going to unDS them very soon.

Sneaker: adidas Busenitz "White/Running White"
Year: 2013
Long before Nelly made everyone run to Foot Locker for two pairs, un-boxing some fresh white-on-white Air Force 1s was a must when it got nice in the Midwest. This year I am going a different route with the newly released "white/running white" adidas Busenitz skate shoe. I'm way too impatient to let a shoe sit in a box longer than a day, I wear my kicks – word to Clark and Russ. I grabbed the red joints last year and it ended up being one of my most worn sneakers of 2012. The clean and crisp minimalist take of this pair makes it easy to throw in the every day rotation for the summer.

Sneaker: Air Force 1 High "Rose Garden"
Year: 2002
These beauties have been in my closet for 11 years. There comes a moment where you've got to either a) sell the fuckers or b) beat them up. I'm going with the latter option, in part to celebrate Mr. Wallace's great footwear legacy and also because there is a certain fun to tackling current styles with vintage wares. I'm no "OG," but in 2013 it strikes me that I've got a collection that is now deep enough to span trend cycles.

Sneaker: Reebok Shaq Attaq
Year: 2013
I'm looking forward to busting out the Reebok Shaq Attaq retro. Haven't had a pair since the initial launch when I was in 7th grade! So the history for me is all over this shoe, also weird to see Shaq play as a ROOKIE and since he just retired it just makes the shoe that more EPIC.

Sneaker: Nike LeBron X "Canary Diamond"
Year: 2013
Those who know me, know I have a fetish for grey sneakers, and I make it a point to get the mainly grey colorway of LeBron's shoe every year (I have LeBron's V-X in grey). I picked up the Canary Diamond LeBron X around December of last year, but I haven't worn them yet. Maybe because the canary yellow accents on the shoe are more summer-appropriate - at least in my eyes. That's the shoe I'll be wearing some time soon. #shadesofgrey

Sneaker: Nike Golf/SB Koston IT
Year: 2013
Not only is this sneaker perfect for golf because of the soft spikes. You can also dress it down with a pair of khakis and head to a weekend party. I play golf a few times a week, and these on the course are comparable to the Nike Golf TW13 sneaker. Koston wins always and forever.

Sneaker: Nike Free Trainer 5.0 "Mega Watt"
Year: 2013
Since I never keep my sneakers "on ice" I have nothing in my closet that I have to un-deadstock, but one sneaker I am looking forward to wearing when the package comes is the Free Trainer 5.0 Mega Watt. I've bought the Volt/Blue pair when they dropped and they're probably my favorite silhouette of the year. The "Mega Watt" pair is super clean and remind me of the UNDFTD x Nike White/Gum Hyperdunk, but a trainer. I'll beat them to death even though they're all white.

Sneaker: Nike LeBron 8 "Sprite"
Year: 2011
There is no better feeling then a new fresh haircut, popping a tag on new clothes, the new smell of a new car, baked ziti and most of all breaking out a new pair of kicks. I just found in the collection this pair that I forgot I even had, to a point where I was gonna go buy them for this summer. The Nike Lebron 8 V2 "Sprite" is not only super comfortable but a really dope sneaker, the colorway is so perfect for summer and I will be UNDS these ASAP along with a tall glass of sprite with ice getting my Hypebeast on.

I usually wear things as soon as I get them, and the only new shoe I've gotten lately is that Sport Fuchsia/Sail Air Force 1 High that came out a few weeks back. I've been traveling the past few weeks, and haven't had them with me, so it's just a matter of not having a chance to wear them yet. I'll be wearing them as soon as I get back though.

I’m really partial to the OG Bulls’ colorway on Jordans, feels more real to me. That being said, I hated the white / infa red AJ6s because the red bugged me out. A few years went by and I realized that they’re not that bad – dope actually. Popped the sandwich bag and now it’s a go.

Sneaker: LeBron 7 "Big Apple"
Year: 2011
The first Lebron signature shoe since the zoom generation worthy of being on MY feet. Lol. Fast forward to the Xmas Lebron 7 and real talk, that had to be the UGLIEST 7 I laid eyes on. Fast forward a little bit and the Big Apple 7 sample pops up. Shoe is red leather with patent leather accents. Red and green speckled 360 degree air bag and a white/re/green splatter swoosh. Basically, the colorway screamed XMAS. It SHOULD have been the Xmas Lebron 7. I had to have it. Had it been a GR I woulda copped multiples. Before the "buy everything rare on the planet hypebeasts" came in the game I got these like a year maybe year and a half ago. Lucked up on getting a pair for what PEs "used" to go for and just been waiting to scorch eyeballs with these lava rocks ever since. Who knows, maybe I'll have mercy and keep 'em DS. Lol.

Sneaker: Nike Zoom LeBron II "SVSM Away"

I was fortunate to be blessed with both pairs (home and away) of SVSM LeBron IIs when I was still the editor of SLAM - we had a pretty good relationship with 'Bron and his Nike fam - and they've been on ice long enough. The IIs have always been my favorite LeBrons, and seeing that a retro doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon, well, it's time.

Sneaker: Nike Air Penny III x Sole Collector
Year: 2011
Planning to undeadstock anything in the spring when living in Portland can still be a huge gamble, so to be completely honest, I'm looking forward to wearing these sometime in July or August, when there isn't still a chance of rain. Part of the SC Penny Pack that I did the colorways on, this pair is perhaps my favorite of the batch. The III has historically been the most underrated Penny model, and I was really pleased with how bold and sharp this particular colorblock came out.

Sneaker: Jordan XVI "Ginger"
Year: 2001
A mysterious package showed up from Corgi Shoe in April, and inside of it was one of my grails, the Air Jordan XVI "Ginger." In college I had two pairs of these, they were easy to get and people really slept on them. They're one of the most underrated Jordans of all-time in my opinion, and when they re-release I bet people will go nuts over them. The boot-esque look of the sneaker married with the shiny mesh midsole is what makes these so ill. I've only tried these on in the Complex office, so I'm yet to fully UN-DS these, but that's going to change this summer.
