Supreme is regarded by many as one of the world's greatest boutiques. Over its nearly 20 years in existence, the skate shop has turned the streetwear and sneaker world upside down time and again with collaborations ranging from DC Shoes to Vans, and Timberland to Nike. Today marked the release of the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1, marking the first time Supreme has stepped outside of the Nike SB world of collabs with Nike. Aside from pounding our keyboards in effort to order a pair from the office, we also decided to look back at the 10 Best Supreme Sneaker Collaborations of All Time. 10. Vans MC
Year: 2012
Supreme had reworked the rarely seen Vans MC (Mike Carroll) silhouette for a collab set in 2011 but the second run in 2012 had colorways that popped. The Supreme script logo on the silver tongues is just the perfect touch for flossin'.
9. Nike Trainer TW 2
Year: 2007
SB Trainers get slept on like crazy but when it comes to these Supreme joints, the tonal colorways stand on their own. Then in case you really needed to break necks, the transparent outsoles showing the Supreme logo are the icing on the cake.
8. Nike Delta Force SB
Year: 2004
For their third collab with Nike Skateboarding, Supreme decided to move away from the Nike Dunk and use a different silhouette. The Delta Force SB was graced with three simple colorways, reflective tongues and gum bottoms, making it one of the cleanest creations to come from the NYC legends. Slept on to this very day, you can still find pairs for right around retail, if not less. WAKE UP.
7. Vans Half Cab "Checkerboard Pack"
Year: 2006
Jeff Spicoli may have taken the Vans checkerboard pattern mainstream, but flipping it and putting them (in all sorts of colors and sizes) on the uppers of the Half Cab was all Supreme. This 2006 release had all the old 'heads reminiscing and the new 'heads camping, but both found themselves trying to scoop a pair.
6. Vans Sk8-Hi "Public Enemy"
Year: 2006
Public Enemy may have professed "Don't Believe The Hype" back in the day, but in 2006 if you were into sneakers you were believing all the hype on these joints. The classic Sk8-Hi from Vans with a "Fight The Power" makeover is off the hook, and was a much-needed distraction from other PE happenings in 2006, sorry Flav.
5. Vans Old Skool "Camo"
Year: 1996
The very first collab Supreme worked on with Vans way back in 1996. Two different camo-clad versions of the Vans Old Skool and for those with simpler tastes, a white and grey version. If you're lucky enough to own a pair, protect ya neck! (But please wear them.)
4. Nike Dunk High Pro SB
Year: 2003
You wanted over the top? This was over the top. After the 2002 success of the Dunk Low, Supreme took on coloring up three versions of the SB Dunk High. The starry-sided colorways complete with gator-print leather, gold dubrays and three sets of laces apiece have become classics and will set you back a handful of stacks and then some if you're trying to get a pair today.
3. Vans Half Cab 20th Anniversary "Duct Tape"
Year: 2012
The story of Steve Caballero cutting the ankles down on his Vans back in the day is what legends are made of. Both in the sense of Cab's career, and for the history of the Vans Half Cab. There have been many 20th Anniversary releases for the Half Cab in 2012, but the Duct Tape version that was done in partnership with Supreme is the shit you tell your kids about years from now if you got a pair (and only 20 people did).
2. Nike Blazer SB
Year: 2006
Quilted upper on a Blazer? Snakeskin? Who does that? Supreme. And from the resale prices, in hindsight, it seems like it was a pretty damn good idea. The red ones were so crucial.
1. Nike Dunk Low Pro SB
Year: 2002
The ultimate beaters. Though, the Supreme SB Dunk Low isn't one most 'heads use for grass-cutting and snow-shoveling like our man Russ Bengtson, it is one of those sneakers that damn near everyone wishes they had. The Supreme SB Dunk Low is the perfect mix of uniqueness, timing and exclusivity, that makes you love sneakers (or makes you bitter). God bless Supreme and all those 'heads lined up for the next drop.
