Between the Pro Leather and the Weapon was the Maverick, a Converse basketball shoe that featured their "Y-bar" support system (which also worked wonders for colorblocking). The vertical "CONVERSE" lettering down the sides gave you untold swagger, even if you weren't Magic Johnson or Dr. J.
