Without scientists, engineers and designers working tirelessly to create new and original innovations within the sneaker industry, we would all essentially be wearing Converse Chuck Taylor All Stars and evolved to have absolutely no arch in our midfoot — thankfully this isn't the case. Because of innovation, we've been fortunate to have kicks that are cutting edge in terms of style and comfort. Nike's Air technology, Converse's REACT Juice and Reebok's Pump are all prime examples of pushing the envelope and grounds to be excited about what the future of sneakers holds for us. What a sham. Its thread and glue, nothing more. The shoes are not any lighter and its not any stronger. Just big pieces of plastic.....Its a new look, not innovation!!!

It’s embarrassing how little research is done for these lists. Hyperfuse was introduced in 2010 not 2011 and to say the Jordan 2012 is an innovation based on features that have been out for years is a joke.

i agree kingpin this article has had little research. flywire was present on the nike hyperdunk and a running cleat (i forget the name) but the point is they were released for the bejing olympics in 2008.
