"COPO means Central Office Purchase Order. You could get a Chevelle or a Camaro COPO. Basically, it is a non-SS car with a 420 engine and dog dish rims."

Cale grinded him. Richard Petty won the race. Nobody was covering NASCAR, but the fight hit all news outlets. Cale and Bobby Allison were friends, so it was weird he beat up [Bobby's brother] Donnie. He had a lot of wins too."

"The '70 Grand Sport. Not attractive to me, but it is a car I respect. I don't wish to own it. To most it is considered what a Cadillac muscle car could have been."

"The 1954 Coupe was the post-war style, now more collectable. The '55 sold OK, but the others '56, '57 took a second life on used car lots. The '57 had wings that were too big, but did well on the used lot. The '56 had square headlights, but people liked that you can open the tail light to put in the gas. The '54 is cool because it was the year before the '55. My dream is to have them all."

"Bobby Allison is a driver I respect, but he had animosity toward Richard Petty. That's why I wasn't his biggest fan. He thought Petty had better equipment; I think Petty was a better driver. Allison drove a Chevy. I believe the Ford and Chevy rivalry became known to the public because of guys like Allison and Petty. I was a Chevy guy, but I liked Richard Petty. I always wanted to see him in a Chevy."

He died in 1975 of cancer. He set up his own race car. He understood the car. That team dominated Trans Am racing. Trans Am racing used the Pony cars. They made the era big."

"Tough. That was the year they made a split, half the year they did 409 the other half they did 306s. I love the tail lights and the headlights. This is the best Impala because of that. The headlights have a little lip, like an eyelid over the bulbs."

"The Yanko Chevelle is just a beautiful looking car. Yanko was a dealership that used to swap out stock motors and put in a 427. They used to change the stripping and put their logo in the seats. They put their badges on the motor too. What was great about them is that other dealerships would buy the cars and sell them. In '68 and '69, Yanko was putting big motors in, but in '69 Chevy started putting a big motor in at the factory. Yanko sold their version under-the-table. You had to ask your dealer. These go for $100,000 now."

He was the coolest guy, he would get high and his job was to get the car to the West Coast in a certain amount of time for money. The car has the slapstick shifter. I've watched the movie 400 times. Mopar got in late in the '70s. This car gave them a huge boost."

"This is the car Dale Ernhardt, Sr. died in. It is a memorable car. At the time, what he was doing for the sport was staggering. He brought the sport back. Darrell Waltrip brought the game up, because he was outgoing. Sr. was the opposite, his style was to just run hard. He's wasn't going to smile or say sorry.
