A flat tire on your bicycle is the ultimate buzz kill. Fixing a flat is one of the basic bicycle maintenance skills, and knowing how to do it yourself can save you money and a trip to the bike shop. We hooked up with our friends at Ozone Bike Shop near the Austin campus of the University of Texas for some useful tips. Ozone (and any bike shop) will always be happy to fix your flat if you're unsure about doing this repair yourself. Get out there for a pedal and don't let a simple flat tire stand in your way.

just wanted to add, but if you are in a REAL bind, you can use superglue and eletrical tape as a patch kit, ive done it many times, and ended up riding on it for months
