Lindsay Lohan knows a thing or two about lawyers. When she made the transition from Disney star to more mature roles as an adult in the mid-2000s, Lohan was caught up in highly-publicized legal troubles stemming from drug and alcohol use. She even spent time in jail after pleading guilty for driving under the influence and violating probation.

Now, it seems the 31-year old actress is ready to poke fun at her past: She's the new spokesperson for Lawyer.com

"When Lawyer.com first reached out to me I was confused and a little scared because I thought I was in trouble," Lohan says in a 40-second ad. "But when they asked me to be their spokesperson, I was intrigued. After meeting with the team, I realized Lawyer.com is just about helping people from getting a DUI—Let's not pretend like I didn't get one, or two or three, or some others."

A press release reveals that Lohan "will also act as marketing and brand advisor." In addition to starring in ads, "each month she will meet and brainstorm with Lawyer.com management on new strategies to raise Lawyer.com’s awareness."

Of course, things weren't always so friendly between Lohan and her lawyers. She was once caught on camera in a court room, muttering under her breath at attorney Mark Heller: "I'll kill you."

Asked about the new spokesperson arrangement, Laywer.com's CEO Gerald Gorman told The Daily Mail UK, "With Lindsay's help many more consumers can delight in the ease and speed of our services. Our team is already benefiting from Lindsay's world class experience and we have many exciting plans for the 12 month engagement."
