Attention all Dawson’s Creek fans: Joey is returning to the small screen! That’s right, Katie Holmes is starring in her first TV show since the famed teen drama. Mind you, a lot of big screen stars like George Clooney and Jennifer Garner are making the same move. TV is where it’s at, apparently.

Holmes will be starring in a new Fox drama from writers and executive producers Illene Chaiken and Melissa Scrivner Love. Chaiken was previously the showrunnner on Fox’s Empire until the middle of its current fourth season. Love has quite a few credits under her including one for Fox’s Rosewood, which she also co-executive produced.

In the as-of-yet untitled drama pilot, Holmes will play FBI Special Agent Hazel Otis, whose romantic affair with a prominent general puts her career at the Bureau at stake. Adding to the drama, Otis is in deep into a domestic terrorism threat investigation, when her personal life becomes exposed. In addition to starring in the series, Holmes has signed on as an executive producer as well.

The former Mrs. Tom Cruise has certainly been keeping busy these days. She’s set to appear in Ocean’s 8 and recently starred in Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky.

She’s also had her fair share of TV appearances since her breakout role as Joey in Dawson’s Creek. Holmes had a role in Showtime’s Ray Donovan and played Jackie Kennedy in the mini-series The Kennedys: Decline and Fall. It looks like divorcing the infamous couch jumper was the best thing Katie could have done for her career.
