The most anticipated award show of the season is not the Golden Globes, but the newly minted “Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards” that Donald Trump announced the creation of last Tuesday. On Monday evening, the “stable genius” will be announcing a variety of categories from the “Fake News Media.”

I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!

Several late-night talk show hosts, including Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, made it known that they are yearning to be honored with one of Trump’s prestigious awards. The folks over at The Daily Show are also doing everything they can to be recognized by the POTUS. The Emmy award-winning comedy show ran a full-page ad in The New York Times to campaign for their spot in the “Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards.”

The ad features an image of host Trevor Noah next to a handful of quotes that embolden his credibility, or lack thereof, as a candidate for the awards. “Isn’t The Daily Show a Fake News show?” one quote from Trump’s favorite Fox & Friends reads. “Political propaganda disguised as entertainment,” another from Breitbart says.

Last Thursday, Stephen Colbert of The Late Showalso campaigned for a spot in Trump’s “Dishonest & Corrupt Media Awards,” taking out a billboard ad in Times Square. It seems like no one wants to get snubbed from these awards, but with so many contenders from Trump's list of media enemies including CNN, The New York Times, and Megyn Kelly, who knows what lucky winner will get to walk away with an honor.
