New Line Cinema’s adaptation of Stephen King’s It completely annihilated expectations. The movie racked in an estimated $123 million in ticket sales during its opening weekend and has since broken a number of U.S. box office records. If you were one of the many people who can’t get enough of the creepy-ass project, you might enjoy this new video by Mr Sunday Movies.
The five-minute presentation lays out several Easter eggs and references you may have initially missed. It includes nods to 1980s pop culture, the TV miniseries, the original novel, and some of King’s other horror classics. The narrator also reveals changes to the plot line as well as missing details that may be explored in the sequel. For example, some of you might not know that "It" is actually an alien whose archnemesis is a turtle, which might explain the various turtle references in the film.
