While I hate to say this is an example of life imitating art, but reports of actor R. Marcos Taylor—who portrayed the infamous former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight in both Straight Outta Compton and Lifetime's Surviving Compton TV movie—getting arrested on assault charges are a little too on the nose.
According to TMZ, Taylor got into an argument at a Carrabba's Italian Grill in Green Brook, New Jersey that resulted in Taylor punching the Carrabba's manager in the face multiple times. It's said that it took a number of Carrabba's employees to drag Taylor out of the Italian eatery, and at some point he allegedly struck a woman on the side of her head.
For what it's worth, Taylor told TMZ that he got jumped and his attorney says Taylor was only defending himself and didn't lay hand nor foot on anyone.
Taylor, who not only broke his wrist on Luke Cage's face but was also seen in Baby Driver, is said to be facing four counts of assault, a disorderly conduct charge, and one count of criminal mischief. Hopefully he doesn't pull a full Suge Knight, who is currently awaiting a murder trial for running a man over after a dispute on the Straight Outta Compton set.
