The saga of Jared Fogle,  the disgraced Subway pitchman now in prison getting beat up and gaining back his pre-Subway weight, continued today as Fogle's ex-wife filed a lawsuit against his former employer, claiming Subway knew that their spokesman was a pedophile for nearly a decade.

According to CNN, Katie McLoughlin is suing Subway because she says top executives from the fast-food sandwich chain knew that Fogle had a thing for minors as far back as 2004. If they would have exposed Fogle, McLoughlin, who didn't marry Fogle until 2010, says she and her children wouldn't have gone through the emotional distress of finding out her husband was a sexual predator.

Fogle and McLoughlin have two children, aged 3 and 5.

From the lawsuit:

"A responsible corporation would take immediate action when hearing of this behavior, even if it was only allegations. Subway failed every test of corporate responsibility in its response to each of these complaints."

The suit says that Subway was notified of Fogle's "depravities" on at least three occasions, including when a woman who owned a Subway franchise in Florida told the company's CEO that Fogle admitted to having sex with children ages 9 to 16.

The CEO allegedly told the franchisee he didn't want to hear any more, and that Fogle had met a woman who would keep him "grounded," referring to McLoughlin.

Fogle was sentenced to more than 15 years in prison on child pornography and other sex crime charges.
