Though Leonardo DiCaprio recently scored some long overdue industry recognition in the form of an Oscar, things aren’t looking as good for his stepbrother. Adam Farrar, a former actor, skipped a court appearance last month related to a petty theft charge. A warrant has now been issued for Farrar’s arrest, according to the Daily Mail.

Farrah and his partner, Charity Moore, were reportedly busted back in January for attempting to steal items totaling "less than $990." Following Farrar’s failure to show up in court last month, bail has been set at $3,000 as authorities attempt to track them down. According to his IMDB page, Farrar is most known for his appearances in the TV movie Conquest of the Earth and the series Galactica 1980.

"Adam continues to run away from responsibilities and it’s going to land him in jail again," an unnamed source, purportedly close to the family, tells the Sun. "He’s struggled before with drugs and although he makes promises to get clean, he gets caught up in something else." According to this source, Farrar’s Oscar-winning stepbrother remains “sympathetic” but has grown increasingly frustrated with the long list of legal troubles.

Farrar, a former commercial and TV actor in the 1980s, is often considered DiCaprio’s initial source of inspiration for entering the world of acting. The two have frequently been spotted together on the Hollywood party circuit and courtside at Lakers games. However, according to the Daily Mail, recent years have reportedly seen a stress-induced shift in their dynamic.
