NASA has some big news about its mission to Mars. Although we're still in the dark as to exactly what the space agency will announce, a press release posted to their website on Thursday says a "major scientific finding" will be announced, and a "Mars mystery solved." The announcement will take place on Monday, Sept. 28, at 11:30 a.m. During the press conference, members of the public can send questions directly to NASA scientists using #AskNASA.

Until then, we're left to speculate what exactly the space agency has discovered that's so groundbreaking. Maybe it's an important report from the Curiosity Rover? Maybe the mysterious Martian ghost lady wants to be friends? Or maybe NASA scientists are simply one step closer to building a colony on Mars that's fit for human habitation when we inevitably destroy our own planet.

Whatever the announcement, it's good to know that the country is focused in on what's important: M-A-R-S, bitches
