A woman from Washington County, TX lost her job and could face charges after she posted a picture on Facebook of a feral cat that she shot and killed with a bow and arrow.

Why anyone would do that or brag about it is totally lost on us — but Kristen Lindsey, who worked at the Washington County Animal Clinic as a veterinarian, was fired on Friday after her post went viral and led to numerous calls to the local police department and animal control, KWTX reports.

The caption on Lindsay's photo makes this all the more perplexing. She wrote, "My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it's head! Vet of the year award ... Gladly accepted."

According to KWTX, Lindsay also wrote this in a comment on her photo: "no I did not lose my job. Lol. Psshh. Like someone would get rid of me. I'm awesome!" That was before she took down the post, and later, her Facebook account.

The clinic had no comment to give when local TV station KBTX-TV reached out to them looking for Lindsay. That makes a ton of sense, because there is only one appropriate response here: SMH.
