Sawyer Sweeten, best known as one of the child actors who played Ray Romano's twin sons on Everybody Loves Raymond, has died at the age of 19, Variety reports.

Sweeten was reportedly visiting family in Texas and apparently shot himself in front of a home there.

Sweeten and his twin brother Sullivan were barely toddlers when they first appeared on the CBS sitcom, which ran from 1996 to 2005. Madylin Sweeten, their real-life sister, played their sister Ally on the show.

According to IMDB, Sweeten hadn't acted in a TV or film production since Raymond ended.

UPDATE: Ray Romano, who played Sweeten's dad on the show, told the New York Post that he's "shocked" over the news of Sweeten's death. "He was a wonderful and sweet kid to be around," Romano said. "Just a great energy whenever he was there. My heart breaks for him, his family, and his friends during this very difficult time."
