Here's a pro tip for Rudy Giuliani: the next time you find yourself having to qualify your statement before you make it, just go ahead and stop talking. It may not help you, because we stopped taking you seriously long ago, but it would save us from an extra workout consisting of us shaking our heads.
Today the former New York City mayor and current spewer of nonsense said he wants Barack Obama, our nation's president, to be more like Bill Cosby, a man accused of raping more than 30 women. Don't worry, though, Giuliani totally isn't talking about the rape thing. "I hate to mention it because of what happened afterwards, but [he should be saying] the kinds of stuff Bill Cosby used to say," he told talk radio host John Gamblin.
The kind of stuff Bill Cosby used to say, before he openly mocked his rape accusations, includes blaming black people for discrimination instead of, you know, the oppressive, racist society we still live in.
Earlier today Giuliani told Fox News Darren Wilson should be "commended" for shooting and killing Michael Brown. And last month he said, "I do not believe—and I know this is a horrible thing to say—but I do not believe that this President loves America."
A verbal timeout is in order.
