Firefighter Arrested After Guns, Ski Masks, Gloves, Drugs, and More Are Discovered Inside of His Car

A rookie firefighter was arrested in the D.C. suburbs over the weekend after weapons, guns, drug, and more were discovered inside of his vehicle. 

WJLA reports that police noticed Oshane Jones' car illegally parked in a handicapped spot outside of a liquor store in Capitol Heights, Md. on Saturday night. Jones, 21, is a probationary firefighter with Engine Firehouse 30. After noticing the distinct aroma of marijuana emanating from his vehicle, Prince Georges County police found a smorgasbord of questionable items during a quick investigation: 


Police confiscated a number of items from the car, including two Glock pistols, the ammo drum, two ski masks, latex gloves, a box of ammunition and $60 worth of marijuana. 

The most alarming find is that ammo drum, which, according to WJLA, is capable if holding 75 bullets.

His passengers, St. Clair Edwards and Antonio Hensley, were also arrested on gun charges. 

According to WJLA, Jones has been placed on paid administrative leave.
