Police in Mexico say a man has confessed to brutally murdering his best friend, chopping off his penis, and feeding it to his dog during a drunken episode.
According to the Daily Mail, 25-year-old Mario Alberto Lizalde Reyes was walking his dog with 24-year-old Mario Hernandez Banda in Ciudad Juarez when Banda allegedly touched him in a sexual manner. A remorseful Reyes reportedly told police that when Banda ventured to an alley to urinate, he shot him in the head, then used a knife to cut off his penis and feed it to the animal.
Following the crime, Reyes returned home, leaving Banda's body in that alley. Unable to live with his actions, he turned himself into police the following day, and law enforcement officials told the Daily Mail that he was "covered in cuts and bruises" from allegedly fighting his stepfather after telling him what he had done.
Reyes, who faces life in prison, told police that Banda was "was still a human being and didn't deserve to die."
